Over the Family Day long weekend, we at Elite Injury Management were privileged to provide medical coverage at the Family Day Classic hockey tournament. The tournament raises money for the Stollery Children's Hospital here in Edmonton.
It was great to see all the kids competing, having fun and enjoying raising money to help those who need it most The awareness that these young athletes were given through this event while having fun playing an indoor version of pond hockey is wonderful.
I want to thank Jasmine, Nicole, Steve, and Jessica for donating their time to be there in case one of these stellar young kids were injured. A big thank you to the organizing committee for letting us help out each year.
Over the last 5 years the tournament has raised over 1 million dollars for the hospital.
