Standard First Aid & CPR

Canadian Red Cross program that meets the Workplace Health and Safety standards.  Excellent for those who require SFA certification for work or who require a wider range of First Aid Skills.  Topics include:  Preparing to Respond, EMS system, Check, Call, Care, Airway Emergencies, Breathing & Circulation Emergencies, First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest, Head & Spinal Injuries, Bone, Muscle & Joint Injuries, Wound Care, Sudden Medical Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies.   

Emergency First Aid & CPR 

Canadian Red Cross program that meets the Workplace Health and Safety standards.  Basic First Aid skills are taught.  Topics covered: Preparing to Respond, EMS system, Check, Call, Care, Airway Emergencies, Breathing & Circulation Emergencies, First Aid for Respiratory

CPR & AED 

Canadian Red Cross levles A, C and HCP.  All First Aid courses include the needed level of CPR for certification.  This course is for those who require CPR certification only.  

Level A - CPR and AED Adult, Choking Adult, Responding to Emergencies, Check, Call, Care, Recovery Position, Assisting with medications, Angina and Heart Attack, Stroke, Deadly Bleeding.

Level C - CPR and AED Adult, Child and Infant, Choking Adult, Child and Infant as well as the topics in Level A

BLS - Basic Life Suport. For health professionals and those who provide pre-hosptial care. Can add airway management and oxygen therapy modules. Primary assessment, assisted ventilation are some of the topic covered in the BLS course.

First Aid Basics Workshop

First Aid Basics is an introductory workshop in basic first aid skills suitable for any audience. The goal is to make learners comfortable and confident with the first aid skills and knowledge, and to provide participants with some valuable take-away tools and resources they can reference at any time. Participants will gain an understanding of some essential lifesaving skills and how to provide care in situations requiring first aid. This workshop is ideal for those who wish to gain practical knowledge in the basics of first aid. Topics available are Chain of survival behaviours, Check, Call, Care, Choking (recognition, back blows, abdominal thrusts, chest thrusts), CPR/AED (signs of heart attack and stroke, compression only CPR, CPR with AED), Life-threatening bleeding, Breathing emergencies (recognition of asthma and anaphylaxis) and Mental health crisis.
